The business began in 2006. Since then we have engineered & prototyped our core products, the Rescue Roll Emergency Toilet Tissue Roll & the Rescue Roller Spring Axle, have made the molds for our plastic parts & packaging, & established production sources for all other parts, packaging, etc in China. Other devices which sprang from the original device have been designed. We have acquired 4 utility patents, have 4 other domestic patent applications pending & have 1 international patent application pending. Currently we are working on more patent applications & will file those soon. Basically we have patented or are attempting to patent every type of toilet tissue holder as a Rescue Roll capable fixture, as well as items such as our Rollholder Travel Brush which turns an item many women already carry in their purse or backpack into a double-duty tool by secreting a Rescue Roll in the handle. A Vending System has been developed that is capable of putting Rescue Rolls in every public restroom. We have assembled a spectacular team of advisors, mentors, vendors, & have an experienced management team waiting in the wings. Marketing research has been conducted (by us & by outside sources). A business plan has been developed, & since all of the animation and pictures you can see via this website were produced totally in house, we have assembled quite a bit of media for getting out message out there. We even made this website.
It has been an expensive undertaking. Our next step, acquiring inventory & establishing the infrastructure to generate sales & income, will be even more expensive. We are now in an "investor search" phase of growing our business. Once we find the right individual who recognizes the potential of our low-tech, unsexy, unsophisticated product concept we will take the "Coming Soon" banner off of our home page & begin selling our products to the 94% of Americans who independent research indicated will buy them (53% "absolutely," 23% "very likely," 18% "somewhat likely").
Independent research also turned up surprising numbers on how often Americans are "stuck" without toilet tissue. 18% get stuck WEEKLY! 32% MONTHLY! 28% annually (which isn't bad). But applied to 300 million Americans it means people are stuck 4 BILLION times a year! Seems like a lot until you discover those same people use toilet tissue half a TRILLION times a year, so the stuck rate is less than one percent of the time. About 7 out of every 1000 times someone needs toilet tissue they don't have toilet tissue. How can this be? Because people live in dorms, they work our play outdoors, they go to events where the porta-potties run out, at home someone leave 4 sheets on the cardboard tube so they don't notice until it's too late, there are thousands of reasons (& we've heard most of them). But why people get stuck doesn't matter. What can be done about it does matter. And that's the reason why Rescue Rollers & Rescue Rolls will be successful.
Our products (the way Mr. Coffee coffee makers did in the 70's) will take something already in every home & replace it with something better. Our products will also (the way Mr. Coffee coffee makers did in the 70's) turn a common household device into a delivery vehicle for a usable, replaceable component part (coffee filters for Mr. Coffee, Rescue Rolls for our Rescue Rollers.) And once in the home our products will quickly find their way into suitcases, backpacks, glove compartments, first aid kits, & thousands of other places. One day our single-use size toilet tissue rolls will be as commonplace as single-use size bottled water is today (and 25 years ago no one would have believed people would one day pay more for water than for gasoline just for convenience sake).
So wish us luck because the sooner we can start selling Rescue Rollers & Rescue Rolls to consumers the sooner these great products will be in your bathroom, purse or coat pocket to save your . . . you know.
